As a St. Louis Engagement Photographer, connecting with my couple from the discovery call to past the wedding day is of utmost importance to me.

Katelyn and Ben describe their wedding day as romantic, minimalistic, and unique. With that in mind, we decided the St. Louis Public Library, in the heart of downtown, embodied the rich history and romance that paired well with their personalities and the vision for their wedding day.

This location provided a stunning setting for Katelyn and Ben's session. Its elegant architecture and literary ambiance perfectly complemented the couple's classic style. Every moment was a cherished memory captured for eternity, from stolen kisses between the bookshelves to tender embraces under the library's chandeliers. Here’s a look at their love story caught on film.

What’s Your Love Story?

We met in college at St. Louis University through some mutual friends and through the athletics department. I was on the cheer team and he was a soccer player. We started dating our sophomore year of college and have been together ever since! After college, we moved in together, renting an apartment, and we recently purchased a house. He proposed to me at SLU because that's where we met and our story began!

What’s Your Favorite Things to Do Together?

We love to do fun, kid-like things together, like putt-putt, bowling, etc.! We are always down for adventure and love to do new things. An ideal date night for us is dinner, drinks, a fun activity together, and ending at home watching a series. We love trying new restaurants, even though we always end up picking Mexican or a place with a buffalo chicken wrap. Chic-fil-a is one of our favorites; we even want to have it as a late-night snack at our wedding!

The Wedding Day

Katelyn and Ben’s family and friends will surround them for a summer wedding at Knotting Hills Wedding Event and Resort. They look forward to the candid moments captured at the ceremony, including their dog at the wedding. Katelyn and Ben plan to incorporate classic elements to match the venue’s exquisite beauty!
